Tue 29 May. Set off at 18.30 for a night passage up the Polish coast to Leba. Very lumpy at first, but settled into a pleasant passage

Wed 30 May.  We were approached by a Polish warship and told to reverse our course. After several VHF calls with first Mr Nasty and then with Mr Nice we were give bearings and distances to avoid their Naval Exercise and continue towards Gdansk. This was a massive detour over 25 miles back and out to sea and which meant that we could not reach Leba before dark. Decided instead to do a second night and head for HEL, a little port at the end of the Hel Peninsula. Great stir fry served up by Steve in the rolling galley, a superb effort!

Thur 31 May.  Arrived in HEL at 08.30 after yet another detour around restricted area full of warships and F16 fighter jets screaming around. Big English/Polish fry up to celebrate our arrival back on land, after 38 hours at sea.  On to Gdansk, only 15 miles, this afternoon for a farewell dinner for Tim and Steve and maybe sample some Vodka!
