Here we are, in the Southern Seas!

Today, at 0742 UTC we crossed the Equator line at longitude 087:51W. King Neptune showed up and welcomed us to the South Pacific ocean and together we drank a glass of Port wine. Very appropriate for the occasion!

At late afternoon, we just sighted San Cristobal, the first of the Galapagos islands. The winds have been variable and weak during this passage and the sea calm. We expect this to pick up in the next few days, as we enter the established trade winds belt, which will take us to the Marquesas Islands, the first of French Polynesia.

Last walk ashore at Contadora Island with friends,
