After our epic voyage of more than 1200 miles in 10 days from Gosport on 7 September to Gibraltar on 17 September we have finally left Sonar in Estepona on the Spanish Costa del Sol as there were no berths available for us in Gibraltar (our preferred stop-over). It was a real roller coaster ride across the Bay of Biscay with force 7 NE winds all the way for 3 days and nights.
John and I are now safely home again after flying back from Gibraltar on 23 September and washing the salt from our hair and planning the next part of our voyage. If all goes well we shall set off again about 7 October towards the Canaries. However, we will have to wait until the wind turns eastward in the straits of Gibraltar to help our exit from the Mediterranean. Stand by for the next episode!
