At last, the wind filled in this morning and we now have about 15knots from the North East.  Managed to get the engine switched off at about 7am (which is a blessing) and we are now sailing.  Have also changed the route.  We are now heading directly for Las Palmas (and will stop off in Lanzagrotty to refuel if need be, but if this wind holds up, we may not need to!!  Las Palmas is 439 miles away - expected time 59 hrs.  Lets hope that the winds stay!

Managed to get some good sleep last nite, for the first time since we left Gib.  Went down and midnight and up for the 3am watch - still on watch until about 10am.

EH01 are sailing alongside us, which is nice as it gives us an opportunity to compare notes over the VHF.  It seems that we have both used just over half a tank of deisel, but we still have about 140 litres in reserve gerry cans, lashed to various parts of the boat.

Nothing more to report really - not seen any wildlife and just the odd ship off in the distance travelling between Europe and Maderia.

More later.
