Tonight we are going in the right direction with calmer
seas
We are motor sailing at between 6.5 and 7 knots and are
closing the land (about 20nm) some shipping and fishing boats
There is a current or tide of about 2 kts against us so
by closing the land we may get out of the stream if a tide then we will
have the benefit in a few hours time when the tide turns
We are about to go across the depth contour from 4000 meters
to 400 meters in one go so we shall see the effect in about an hours
time
Eta tomorrow into Gaulle in the afternoon
