Still in the boatyard. It's been a long, hot, summer. Sometimes here doing repairs and sometimes with H at her work cruising around the Ionian, Aegean and Adriatic Seas.
I tried to buy a new engine from a dealer in Lefkas. Even paid for it. But it turns out that no amount of complaining or money will get a Volvo-Penta engine delivered before we get too old to want one. Global supply chains apparently. I got my money back from the dealer and we returned to Plan A, which is to try to fix the engine we have. This morning, the mechanics came and a big crane lifted out our rusty old engine. A foklift drove it away to engine-hospital and hopefully the mechanics can get this heart of this boat beating again.
We have a used oil-sump part in the post from the friendly boatyard we are trying to get to near Split. This is just in case the old part is beyond repair.
