After yesterday's sunny introduction to the
northern hemisphere it has been rather a downcast 24 hours out here with squalls
and longer periods of rain, the wind not quite in the right direction, and a
right lumpy sea as the wind rolls in from all angles. Well, it's the dolrdrums,
and contrary to yesterday's misgivings, how glad I am that I shall
never have to endure them again! At least there is a little wind now: early this
morning we were being hurled around in the waves with zero wind. Silver lining
is that the boat is a little cooler, even with the hatches
closed!
