Welcome 'Freddie' the new outboard in Marin

Marin - Monday 5th February
We had picked up the mooring of Marin marina and had
wanted to explore ashore. The old yamaha outboard engine had given us issues in
Lagos decided it would do the same now. Having got a small way away from
Associate it decided to give up (again) and refuse to start once more. The same
issue as in Lagos - probably a dirty carb - a common issue with this make of
outboard. We decided to change it and completed some research on the local
suppliers. Chris set off on his own with engine working only to have to row the
last half mile - it HAD to go..........so a new Mercury 6hp - now named
'Freddie' became part of Associate's gang and Chris returned triumphant to the
boat for lunch
We went shopping over in the far corner of the bay -
with a very civilised dinghy park outside the supermarket in preparation for the
arrival of visitors tomorrow and enjoyed a sundowner at one of the marina
bars
The fresh fish purchased in Rodney Bay was
delicious
