Dear all

We have arrived in Oeiras which is on the river Tejo just down river from Lisbon. It is a new marina complex with restaurants and bars around the marina.

The weather has improved and the temperature is now above 30 degrees  there is a rally dinner tonight at a banqueting hall on the marina complex.

We have done a few small boat jobs and the laundry has been brought up to date as well as the shopping .

At the Rally Dinner we were greeted with pre dinner drinks and the a three course meal of asparagus soup followed by sea bass fillets on a bed of spinach and crushed new potatoes followed by apple strudel . This was accompanied with water and red or white wine , as much as you wanted . The prize giving was then started and Ben More came in 1^st place followed by Susie , we did however win the Smiley Miley competition correct and won the converted tea towel .

The following day we took the train to Lisbon and had lunch there and had a long walk around the city , it was very hot and we were glad to get back to the boat where the breeze was refreshing.

June the 19^th is Steve’s birthday and he was given a birthday bacon roll and a card signed by all of the Rally crews  

Tomorrow we are off to Sines on leg 6 at a start time of  09 30 , distance is around 50 miles.
