We have arrived at Oeiras which is a marina just below Lisbon .

The internet connection was not great since my last update so a brief synopses of the journey from Povoa to here.

From Povoa we went to Figueira da Foz at the start there was no wind and permission was given to start engines if needed the whole fleet left under engine but we tried for 10 mins and as we were going backwards after 10 mins.  we also went on under engine, and decided to motor for one hour , which we did. The wind was now around 5 to 6 knots not really enough to get Andiamo moving so we tried with the chute up but  this kept collapsing , so we tried without the main sail up and found the this started to allow the chute to fill and we were moving through the fleet ,some people were still motoring so they will be penalised when they declare their times . As the day went on the wind picked up and we had a cracking down wind sail all the way to Figueira.

We went to the Rally dinner at the Casino which was one of the first Casinos built in Europe in the 18th century , there was a show and watched the roulette and Black jack tables had a few bets and lost 10 Euros. At the prize giving we were fourth overall , which I did think that we had done better.
