Hi all,

We are finally departing Horta today.... But not for the UK!  The weather has been a shocker and isn't getting any better in the short term.  We have to move while the wind is going to blow from the Southwest so today is it.  Wind to the north of us is persistently Easterly with Gales forcast.  So the plan is to make for the Northwest tip of Spain - La Coruna, and wait for the weather to clear across Biscay.
The eye of the storm passed over us yesterday and we had sustained 40 knots for a few hours with really heavy rain.  the pressure dropped to 986Mb (which is pretty low!) but has now risen to 999Mb.
Our blogs will start again soon.

I would like to ask that no one email the boat unless it is absolutely necessary.  On the last trip it took quite a long time to download the weather when there were lots of emails banked up to come through - this increases the cost of the calls!

Thanks and keep following us!!
