Our first restful night in 3 days last night!  The wind dropped in the late afternoon and overnight the sea abated.  We cautiously took out reefs and extended sail and finally have the spinnaker up again this morning.  Haven't had it up for 5 days now!  Looks like we are in for some very light air for the next 2 days at least.  ETA (and expectations!) have had to drop a peg or two!

Blake and the girls continued to sail under staysail only yesterday at a steady 6 knots.  Drying out is not a problem as the temp is about 28 deg C, but the occasional rogue wave managed to drench the three just as the salt had hardened on the clothes!  Bit of a washing day today then!

Everyone is looking forward to the next round of ice lollies...  Especially Robert who is quite desperate to trade night watches for someone elses!  Clarissa tried to explain how precious ice lollies can be on a long trip offshore!!  The freezer alarm has been set!!

Other news:

It takes a 40 knot plus storm to get a Dutchman on deck just in his boxers (hearts with wings)...  Clarissa and Lucy were heard to say "Please tell us those boxers were a gift from a girl friend!?"  Turns out he bought them for a 2 for one special deal. (Obviously after the 14th of Feb!!

The squall provided a much needed opportunity for Matt to have his pink shorts washed (salt and fresh!), he then later retired to the reclining position in his golden bath robe - all he was missing was a pipe!

Can someone please let us know what is happening in X Factor?
