This was a fast run with steady SE Trades, on the quarter, and a bumpy but not too uncomfortable sea from the South. We had day’s runs of 158, 182, and 144 miles, the latter as the wind backed.
We sailed from Christmas at 06.30 on the 22nd September and anchored at Direction Island, Cocos Keeling, at 15.00 on the 25th.
