Calm over night with good progress made. 450
miles to go now so are on course to arrive Saturday afternoon /
evening.
The weather a bit changeable today with a lot
of excitement upon being hit by a squall. A bit scary as we had too much sail
up. We saw it coming but was upon us in no time.
Poor Michel was off watch duty in his bunk but
was immediately summonsed with an all hands on deck and with no time to
get dressed, for a second time we had a man on deck in his
underpants!
Calm was restored with a celebratory cup of
tea and Skipper Paul raided the emergency grab bag and dealt out a bar of
chocolate from the dozen or so packs in there.
We felt we deserved it.
A few other boats coming on to or radar, as we
had expected, since we are converging on the destination.
Course set is due west on latitude 14 degrees
North should take us around the top of St Lucia and in to Rodney
Bay.
We're all agreed the decks of the boat need a
god clean with the multiple tea and coffee spillages inevitable when rocking to
and fro as we are.
I think it's fair to say that, after 17 days
at sea we just want to get there now - but that's probably due to the weather
and the choppy seas.
