Got beat up pretty bad last night and early this morning, the wind was 20knts SE but we were running directly into a current of 2/2.5 knts. Very frustrating and uncomfortable as the wind was opposing the current and the sea state was rough.

Finally at lunch time today we tore ourselves free of the counter current and are now headed directly to where the gulf stream is predicted to be, we are hoping to ride this warm water current for the next day or so and make up lost time.

Had a lovely pod of dolphins early in the night and we have had clear skys and quite a bright halfmoon.
