24.03.89N 021.16.88W 12:00 - 22 Nov 2015 Distance run today: 135miles Total distance run: 550 miles The sea state reduced to a less angry roll during the night. This meant that we could stop walking around like lizzards looking for each and every handhold. It also means the bruises are over - for now - door knobs; wooden edges; steel winches etc... not great landing places for hips, knees and elbows. Saw dolphins - sunset - planets - the usual - its ok I'm joking ! The best was the phosphorescence at night. Like a pool of sparkling dust with each wave as it broke, combining with the wake of the boat sparkling in the black night. Stunning. We have decided not to try and race, even if we knew how to. Its still early days and there is no point in stressing the boat or the crew. If we make 130/140 miles per day that is perfectly ok. |
