Following a five year lay-over in Fort Pierce where she was re-rigged, had a new engine installed, new liferaft, dinghy etc Haigri, our Rival 38, is finally ready to leave for our Caribbean Adventure.

Our general plan is to leave for West Palm Beach tomorrow and motor down the intracoastal waterway to Riviera Beach Marina which will be our jumping off point for the Bahamas.  We then intend to wend our way through the islands to the Turks and Caicos and onto Luperon in the Dominican Republic before sailing to Puerto Rico down through the Mona Passage and into the Caribbean Sea.  Our final destination being Grenada where Haigri will stay for further refitting.

We are making the final preparations for our trip today including provisioning with fresh food and having Haigri lifted out of the water to clean all the grime off her hull.  Once all that is done we are good to go, weather permitting, of course.
