Poor winds for us!

The wind is coming from a direction directly from Horta.
We have to beat in to it at lowest possible angle.
To sharp head wind is not the best angle for this vessel I´m afraid.
So we are makung very small progress ahead.
Right now we are heading north to get up to the same latitude as Horta and the we are going to tack
south and also hope for the winds to turn a little.
Predictions have been that they would, but we haven´t seen it ao far.

Horta seemed so close just a few days ago when we did great speed and were making almost 200 NM a day.
But things change here as everywhere else in life.

The trick is to be prepered and keep the spirit.
So easy to feel blue when things do go your way.
But if we hang in there and try to enjoy the present situation it is going to be fine this time too. :-)

Rumor has it that they have great steaks and the best pineapple in the world in Horta so it seems we have something to look forward to anyway!

We haven´t seen any more ships either and the fish would swim our way.
Lucky we have enough food abord.
Water too.

Right now we are sailing 4 - 5 knots 21degrees and the last 24 hours we did 117. (depressing)
The wind is ENE 7 m/secon or around 13 knots.

Have a nice weekend you all and talk to you tomorrow.

Please write us if you feel like it.
It is so fun to get a mail every once a while.
