Hi folks the summer mini cruise is over.

Weymouth to Torquay was a hard sail as the wind was westerly from the Bill straight into the bow. So beat my way there. jacinta only manages 3kts when beating against a force 6 wind with see to match and rain and hail so left Weymouth 0400 arrived Torquay 2130.

Torquay to Plymouth next day motored all the way no wind. The story of our summer.

Spent some time on the Marine corps boat Per Mare a contessa 38. Nice boat and great fun to sail.

Plymouth back to Torquay was full of incident with a force 6 northerly on the beam jacinta managing 7.7 kts through the water. Salcombe the wind increased and by Start Point with 2 reefs in 37 kts of wind was recorded over the index. Beat my way into Torquay with broken tiller and reef system in need of overall.

Tiller repaired off to  Lyme Regis lovely sail in fresh northerly breeze and spent quit night on visitors buoy.

Lyme to Weymouth unfortunately was a bit of a disaster and I ended up being towed in by the Weymouth Rib. Engine failure and I had forgotten to replace the water pump impeller when I used the spare on last years service. Whoops very embarrassed. New impellor fitted and spare purchased was again on my way to the pontoon.

I'm moving the boat in October to a new berth with the facilities of showers etc. More expensive but I do intend to live on the boat a little more than last year as I find it very peaceful.

See the pictures to follow of Tor Bay and the Per Mare
