miles in 15 days and 6 hours. They are plenty of stories to be told one
wrecked sail etc! With just 15 nm to go we were just 1 nm ahead of Gwylan
and the race was still on after 2800 nm and 15 days. As a goodbye the
Atlantic gave us a taste of its power with final blow with a squall that hit
us for 1 hour with winds of 35 kts and heavy rain. We saw the squall coming
and reefed down and maintained a good course, after ths squall passed we had
gained a 4 mile advantage! We finished and greated by the ladies at dock
side for champers a plenty!!
