Another busy day getting ready, including assisting the safety officer with a satphone check. The signal onboard at our berth in Port Pendennis wasn't great, which was attributed to the forest of aluminium masts all around, but we received an SMS message and sent one back. It is understood that all other boats will need to complete a check on the first day.
Quivira is well stuffed with provisions, especially nibbles to keep us going through those night watches.
There was an announcement at the RCYC BBQ yesterday evening that the start will be streamed live on the club's Facebook page, including close-up drone footage!
