We had read reports from other cruisers to say that they had been to feed the stingrays and they said what a once in a lifetime experience it had been. It was a few miles from the anchorage and we could not take the big boat there so it involved a long dinghy trip. Joel and Christine on "Balena" have a rowing dinghy and so we suggested that we give them a tow.

Easy rider.

Reverse view.

There are some lovely houses along the water front.

Many people from Papeete have weekenders on Moorea.

Part of the Intercontinental Hotel.

Tourist boats bring people to feed the stingrays. As you can see, it is a hands on experience.

Ann, Christine and Joel take to the water.

OK, where is the fish?

Backed into a corner. Joel tries to lure them away with some fish (we took fish scraps that we had planned to use for bait). Christine thinks it is hilarious.

They know that I had some fish when I entered the water. They are really pushy if they think that you have food.

The water is crystal clear.

Now Bob is in the water.

We know that you had fish!!

They are literally all over you if they think that you have fish.

Move away, fellows.

Whoaa fellows!! That hand must still smell of fish.

Joel's camera has a fish eye lens.

Christine is VERY brave by the end, giving a bit of cheek (should that be tongue?).
