We have been hearing the whales but haven't seen them. Ann saw a couple of "blows" but they didn't break the surface. Also there have been the occasional flashes on the depth indicator so they must have passed under the sonar beam. The relative coolness of the Galapagos is starting to give way to a more tropical feel. The Humbolt current is dimishing as it flows westward. Between Panama and Galapagos Islands we had some sea gulls as night companions; constantly flying around the navigation lights. Now we just have the morning chore of removing flying fish and squid from the deck.
