Anchored in Bahia de Naufragio (Wreck Bay) just after sun rise Tuesday 21st June. Before the anchor was set there was a visit from a water taxi with an agent looking for business. The island, San Cristobal, is volcanic in origin; the black rock being easily seen. The vegetation observed so far could be generously described as low shrubs/thicket: very uninspiring. It is easy to see why these islands were passed over by the English and French a couple of centuries ago.
Tomorrow we will go looking for tortoises and iguanas. No need to look for sealions, they are everywhere.
