At 14:15 local time after assessing the weather forecast and after communication with both crews the NOMAN Race Control announced that the race would be paused and restarted after the boats are moved to a point closer to Ibiza.

 

Rozamar – the support yacht, will arrive at Isabel’s position within the next hour at which point the race shall be paused and the position of both boats shall be recorded. Both boats and crew will then be towed to an area adjacent to the lighthouse on the northern point of Ibiza. They will then be dropped off the same comparative distance from the finish as when the tow began and the race will restart.

 

At this news Team Danielle commented “It’s like Christmas in July” with Team Isabel commenting “We will be ready".
