After a few days of Maine Lobster, a lot of jobs aboard and provisioning, we headed to Nova Scotia.

Aboard are most of the old reliables : Mike Hodder, Dermot O'Morchoe and Eddie Nicholson. (John Walsh to follow).

Our first leg was to have been a few hops along the Nova Scotia coast but as we were delayed leaving due to the Abundance of Lobster for only a $5 a lobby and the delay in a few boat parts arriving.
So to be sure to be at our pre arranged pick up point for John Walsh we had to sail straight and arrived into Halifax late last night after 40 hours at sea.
With no wind most of the way we motored and it was uneventful until the fog came down as we approached the Novia Scotia coast, then we discover the radar was not working!! ( yet it did in Camden)
We crept into the Royal Novia Scotia Yacht Squadron to take their last berth with less than 300 m visibility.
John was as happy to see us as we were to have arrived safely.
But Customs were particularly efficient and would not allow John to come aboard and not allow us get off the boat till they arrived.
By 11 pm and our tongues hanging out they arrived and told us all the beer and wine bought in the US was illegal! After a bit of Blarney they agreed to tape up the boxes of wine and they affixed their official stamp to it! (a trick I remembered from the departure of Black Shadow in 1979 from Kinsale!) the mad thing is we cannot open these supplies until we leave Canadian waters!!
This action has forced us out on the town of Halifax tonight.
