We finally came into the bay and anchored under assistance from a couple of dinghies from boats already here which waas a big help. Arrived just in time for Bastille day celebrations and displays of local singing and dancing which went on all weekend. Since then we have been waiiting for a new starter motor to arrive from Australia and passing teh time in walks, car and pick up tour of the islands few roads, reading etc.

The starter motor finally arrived on the island yesterday and should be on the boat early afternoon for fitting so hopefully it is the right one and everything works so that we can move out of the bay tomorrow and see another spot or two on our way to the Tuomotos and onwards to Tahiti.

The island is very expensive and has limited attractions apart from the scenery which is fantastic, some of the bays are only accessible by boat and so the stay has dragged a bit. On the other hand we are fairly well up to date with boat jobs!
