Another superb sunny day and probably the hottest yet. We are still rolling downwind at over 8 kts and managed a great 196nm over the last 24hrs with twin headsails alone.

Just finished lunch of cheese and olive snacks followed by roast beef and veg. Steve bemoaned the lack of cauliflower cheese but apart from that perfect especially considering the conditions. The roll from deck edge to deck edge in about a1.5 secs mean that even propped in the galley with feet on one side and back on the ER bulkhead you can still over-balance towards the cooker.

Hiva Oa is approaching and at this rate we would arrive at night so we  are thinking of going on to Nuku Hiva instead for a daylight arrival. Either way looks like we have 2 more nights at sea and should be anchored for Tuesday night.

Our boat speed has been impressive, another 49ft boat that left the Galapagos 2 days ahead of us is now effectively 2 days behind and 16.5days to off Hiva Oa will be really good and musch less than we envisaged.

All well.
