All well here and all coherence lost !

Can I possibly describe the multitudes of blues, the calmly rolling fetch, the woolly
cloud on the horizon, the sunrise of warm colours, the feeling of space,
air and clarity all around stretching to a distant horizon? we can see it seems, forever.
I am at a loss.
Liberty, mooching along beautifully under motor sail, almost
silent, the patter of the motor and a gentle lapping of the sea
on the hull. This is why the Pacific is called so , this is what I had
dreamed about and could not imagine, the physical being of it all.

I am completely at a loss to describe the immenseness, the raw power of this
place, the feeling of being so totally isolated but safe in this lovely boat
where now, every nook and cranny (sorry!) is so familiar. This place where one
is totally aware of being free and yet so disciplined,
so free and yet so vulnerable,
so free and yet so insignificant in the scale of this awesome place.

Our eyes are not entitled to such colour and beauty and we might have missed
it,
our closest neighbours are the nursing humpback whales and their young, we
might have missed that,
our nights are filled with stars and the path of the moon, our days with the magnificent heat of the sun and it's relationship to us, we might have missed that,
our actions, based on the behaviour and whims of the wind and the squalls, we might have missed those too....

I am so glad we have made this journey, perhaps we would have missed these
moments of awe or found them elsewhere on some other venture?
We have read a little of the history of the Polynesian gods and beliefs in this part of the world and it
seems so at one with proximity of the force of nature here, so magnifcently different to the guide book and resort experience that we might have relied on in these parts, the very essence of the world appears to be here..
at peace...
for now.....

It is devastating in it's beauty, it cannot be other than a moment in the presence of an
overwhelming power. If that power is Mother Earth, how precious this is , a moment generously gifted
If this is Godly, the faintest breath of heaven, then how could I close my heart
to such a gift?
