All well. A most beautiful sail....at last.

With heavy hearts and laden with wet weather gear, we waved farewell to the beautiful, captivating Moorea. We had a lovely morning on NordWind and were sorry to have to leave as the first mate gets be married on board in a couple of weeks, but we cannot stay. NordWind is a magnificent classic yacht of FAstnet fame, with an awesome restoration and a welcoming crew. Thanks to Johan for introducing us.

Grum spent most of the day urging us to get on and get ready, and we fiddled and fussed (well I did) I LOVED that place, so it was hard to focus on leaving.

Juergen and Graham did a scrub on the bottom again, and Grum found this creature thing that lives in the outlet for the head..really weird, We had heard of them, but had never seen it.

we dragged our heels and dragged our heels and finally lifted the hook and out through the pass. We have had 12 to 15 knots wind and calm sea, making a perfect sail. and NO rain for the first time ever.

Our destination is Rarotonga, which is part of NZealand, which is a wacky thought...we need NZ dollars and hopefully we will have a lovely stamp to show for it..never thought we would be gathering NZ entry passes in our little ship!
Rarotonga seems to be in the middle of nowhere, but we do we say that about everywhere so far?
