Hi From Lancer
The ARC started at 12.40 UTC yesterday. The send off from the marina was
fantastic with a great fireworks display on Friday and marching bands on the
pontoons yesterday. There were hundreds of people on the breakwater to wave
everyone off and the atmosphere was superb.

We decided that the quietest part of the start line was actually on it -
probably something to do with the 3 hour penalty for crossing early! All
went well and we got a good start and the first day and night have been
spent settling in to our routine.

We are eagerly awaiting our first fish - all the gear is out and we look
more like a commercial trawler than a racing yacht! Even Phil has a rig
prepared and has suggested a competition so we will let you know when we
have our fist success.
