This is our final destination this year. We arrived here on Sunday,
December 7 in the morning. The boat will stay here, “on the dry” for a
couple of months, while I fly to the US for Christmas. Then, will get her
ready for the next season.
On the way we stopped overnight and spent a few enjoyable days in Great
Barrier Island. There is a good number of great hiking trails there. The
east coast of North Island between Opua and Tauranga is a very pleasant
cruising ground and one can easily spend a season here.
It looks like this year adventure and this web diary are coming to a
close. I hope there will be more coming next year.
Note: The Iridium SMS form at turing.com still seems to truncate the very
end of the message, usually just the name of the sender. Thus, I received
a few more "anonymous" SMS's which I cannot answer. Writing your name at
the begining of the SMS is one way to help.
