The Majorcan wilds

Yesterday was a busy day. David Fawcitt, sometime resident of Tenby, Majorca, Hertfordshire, Australia was in Palma to run us around looking for parts to fix the cooker and batteries for the de Walt tools. He promised to meet us later that day on the South East coast.
We set sail at lunchtime to cross the bay and get into the southeast coast of Majorca to shorten our trip to Mahon.
We had a really lovely sail at last in flat blue seas with just the right amount of wind.

But it couldn't last. First the wind died, then it blew up hard but from the wrong direction. So we motored, and even then we were going to be late for our rendezvous with David so we chose an anchorage close to the Cap de Salinas on the corner, dropped the hook and told David where we were.

That was just the beginning of a long treck, for both of us, David by car and us on foot. Eventually we met at the lighthouse just as the sun was setting.

And then we drove to the nearest town about 10 km, for tapas and drinks on a lovely Majorcan restaurant. Fabulous food and 'ambiance' as Norman calls it.

A moonlit walk back to the boat to be taken back aboard by Theo finished off a lovely day.
