We are out near Capel Bank at the moment (around half way between New Cal and Aus) and unfortunatly we have blown-out our main sail - a full leach to luff tear around 2/3rds of the way up!!!  With a lot of sail tape we now have some main up, basically that above the third reefing point (so very small).  Beyond that, it is skip-bin material.  It happened in almost no wind, while motor-sailing, so it must have seen too much sun in its life.  Hope the other sails hang in there!! 

 

With much reduced sail it will be hard to make Coffs, so we may bail to Brissie instead.
