Dropped the anchor not far from a castle that sits on top of some rocks and is surrounded by water. Le Castella is the name of the seaside town where it is located. It’s humming now with summer holidaymakers. During the night just before arriving, a coastal patrol boat of the Italian Guardia di Finanza (financial police) came up to us without navigation lights turned on, then hit us with a powerful spotlight. We gave them the details of the boat and off they went. The day before yesterday, before arriving at the last anchorage, we passed an armed British Border Force (Immigration) patrol boat that would normally only be found in British coastal waters. They must have been here to help with the disastrous, massive migration of African refugees
