330 nautical miles west of Cape Verde Islands and there’s water everwhere. A little bit of midday drama. We discovered the bilge under the forward cabin completely full of water, to be precise nearly 3,000 litres of fresh water from one of the two new water tanks. A weld had split so now it’s a big clean-up and dry out. Two dirty water pumps wet. Hopefully we’ll be able to dry them out. We have isolated the faulty tank and have the watermaker going full speed ahead to fill the good tank. Friends and loved ones, it’s just another day in the floating office, and it’s a lovely day.
