Day 6:
Freydis has arrived safely at Beveridge reef completing
an 865nm passage from Maupihaa in 5 days and 6 hours.
The passage was overall pretty good with a bit of
motoring necessary to enter the reef pass in daylight.
We had the added bonus of sailing in company (unplanned)
with the 67 foot catamaran 'Arabella' and enjoyed daily VHF communication with
them and the comfort of knowing we had each other if either boat experienced any
problems.
Apart from their sails and lights at night we have not
sighted another vessel on the passage, this is a pretty remote part of the
world.
The crew are both pretty happy to be on the hook for a
few days before continuing on to Vava'u in Tonga
