Scrutineering

Having left Salcombe at 10am we rounded the entrance to see a lot of yachts with spinnaker’s up, we then twigged that they were all racing to round the Eddystone Lighthouse as part of the Myth of Malham Race, which co incidently was the basis of our Qualifier for the AZAB. The Myth of Malham Race is 230 Miles starting on the Royal Yacht Squadron Line round the Eddystone and back to Hurst Castle, having finished the MAM we carried on back to Torquay for the extra 70 miles. Any way we dicided to join in, so up went the New Asymmetric and we were off, at least until the wind died. On went the Iron topsail and we motored on to Falmouth. Having Settled onto our berth we went back to our list of Jobs to get the boat through scrutineering. It turns out we did a pretty reasonable job, with only a short list to get us through.
