Fai Tira Cabo Cruz to Aguila  42:31.18N 9:00.90W

Back on Fia Tira, just time for quick sketch, up anchor and off, in warm soft evening sunshine, almost no wind and fabulous surroundings.

As we approached the Island, another glance at the pilot book, cast doubt on our plans to stay the night (the bit that said, don’t do it was a bit of a giveaway).

So we decided to implement plan B, which was quickly made up.

Between the islands was a narrow passage, flanked by large and imposing rocks, with Aguio at the other end. We were just about in line, so down it we went. Don’t think I’ve seen Pete so concentrated since he tried flying his toy helicopter ( and that ended up in bits ) Slightly worrying!!

                                                                                     Squeeky bum time

Anyhow all was fine, felt quite exciting though. Just to celebrate, Pete threw a line over the side and caught a gar fish, the little rascal!!

                             Told you I could fish.

We entered the small harbour at Aguila and anchored at about 7.30.

I stuck a pizza in the oven, cooked a pan of fresh potatoes, opened a tin of mushy peas, poured some wine and that was where we stayed for the evening.

Bye for now.

Pete and John.
