arrived back in Sardinia with Simon, Tracey, Maisie and Edward my new crew,
after visiting my daughter and husband not to mention my first grandchild in
Sheffield. We studied the Grib files and decided to leave Sardinia on
Monday 1st August so that we would have a favourable winds, heading
for Menorca 160nm to the west. As it turned out all went to plan and we had
slight head winds for 14 hours and then a whole 24 hours with a 20 knot wind from
behind. Later on the wind went around to the south as the Gribs predicted
giving us a beam reach for 14 hours into Mahon. It was one of the best
sails I have had since leaving Australia. We even had a fantastic Porpoise
experience. More of that later.
I bet you would like to see some pictures of my Grandson and family.
