Leaving Azores

Well it is time to leave Horta. In fact it was time on Sunday, but couldn't
get fuel on Sunday and Monday the weather was bad, so now we go. The weather
is still going to be not very good. A bit rough, but there is no change on
the way for 5 days. By waiting 2 days will help a lot and by the time we are
3 days into the trip the Portuguese Trade winds that are now 30 knots will
be done to 15. So a bit rolly, but should be ok.
Last night we had all sorts of things go funny in the wheelhouse. Nav
equipment flashing on and off, bilge alarms going. Looked like all hell had
broken loose. In the end it was just loose negative battery cables.

I attach a few photos while I can. This is Peter café Sport bar. It is
famous here and all yachts visit it. The old man Old Peter died 2 years ago
and his son operates it now. I recognised him after 17 years away. His 2
sons now work the bar, so the family tradition continues.
The girls getting ready for rough weather food, and also a photo of our
little pixie. She is our mascot.

Lots of love

Sounds like a band.
