Well we are on our
third day now out of Bermuda and all is well. The weather is quite rough and has
been building slowly every day. It is now a Force 6 with 25 knots. But it
is a SWer and 30 deg off our Stbd quarter. The stabilisers are working
very well and we are very comfortable, so no problems there. The watches are
going smoothly and everyone seems in fine spirits. The engine room has its
moments. Yesterday we lost a generator, so moved onto the Stbd one to
change filters and do checks. 5 mins later the Stbd one goes down, so we use the
small aft one, then it goes down. All very strange. Replaced all fuel filters
and all seems well now. When it rains it pours.
Our fuel
calculations after we fueled in Bermuda we think were ok, but with no gauges
working, it is a bit of hit and miss, and without sails, we can't afford a
miss, so we are going slowly and cheaply along at 10.5
knots.
We are having
trouble controlling Liam and George's (Nick) junk food intake. Same
happened last year with George and Tid. But I think we have them under control
now.
Sara's food is
delicious and no complaints there.
Marlines is
keeping us all clean and tidy and amused sometimes with her broken
English.
Lots of love to all
from all.
