Pos @ 0730 UTC 49:22N 17:22W. COG 57, SOG 5.6, DTG 320. Forecast is for 15 kt Westerly winds around midnight, which would be great for a run in towards the Fastnet Rock and Baltimore. If we could just shake off the counter-current that has dogged us most of the way we would fancy our chances of a daylight arrival.

Our friends on Blue Heeler will be a few hours ahead, having left Terciera (70M west of Faial) seven hours earlier than our departure.

Is that stout I'm smelling?
