This is a brief update interpolated from what
Richard told me over the phone.
Callidus left torquay at around 1030 and was called
back by Dick on the quay for some photos (watch this space). Unfortunately the
now lazy crew had left fenders out especially what Richard has named 'The Dog's
Bs' which hang out over the stern.
The had a nice beat down past Berry Head and into
the Dart avoiding the vicious exposed rock called the East Blackstone and
prominent Mew Stone south of Scabbacombe Head. Dartmouth's Marina is at
Kingswear on the opposite side of the river. Distance about 13 nm. They arrived
about1600 I think.
Pete left the ship here today and Bernie goes early
tomorrow (Saturday). Richard & Peter plan to take the train to Paignton for
day off.
