The wind has now dropped from 25/35 knots so we have changed from a Reach to dead downwind. We put the twin headsails up and Wow off we go.Our best 24 hours so far with 135 knts completed. Long may it last.
Tryed fishing last night at dawn. Thought i had caught nothing until i started to reel in. Then i saw this fin come to the surface about 30 metres out.Everyone to the back i shouted bring gloves and boathook. After 15 minutes of pulling the fish in the line and lure suddenly sprang out of the water and landed on Marks head coming up the stairs from below. So how big was the fish/shark?
Then the dolphins arrived so all the crew left me to it.Good job the fish did escape.
Everyone now have their sealegs and beginning to enjoy the food and sailing. Not seen any other boats today and we are only 3 days out. Its a big Ocean.
Well at least the SSB radio is fianlly working and Doris the towed generator and Larry the Autohelm are doing great (touch wood).
