Well here we go. Finally we are able to leave this god forsaken place that is Tenerife. No offence but it is horrible. Everyone is either Northern or Irish and there is absolutely no culture at all. I don't mean to offend anybody but it is a shit hole. You try to speak Spanish to people but it is basically a huge ex-pat community, which is fair enough, but I never want to go abroad somewhere where there is a fucking 'Iceland' no matter how convenient it is. For fuck sake!!!!!

We have been waiting for a credit card for 6 days now but according to Barclays it is in Madrid. They reckon it can get here by 8pm this evening....mmmm...800 miles in 3 hours. I think we will take our chances and get the hell out of here and get it sent on.

This is it. The biggie....on our way to well, paradise. We cannot wait. Heading South to catch the proper Trade Winds and should be passing Cape Verde in 5 to 6 days, possibly stopping for a few hours to refuel and restock if needed, but if not carrying straight on by to Grenada. Come on!!!!

Morale is good but we just need to crack on so we should be the other side mid - December. We will keep the blog more regular as we will be at sea for a while. It will be kind of like the big brother diary room to see how mad we are going.
