Arabesque
Fri 7 Aug 2015 07:42
The sea has been a millpond with a gentle swell all night: great for Seasick Suzi! We were joined by 10 dolphins yesterday afternoon: swimming in front of and under the bow for 15 minutes. It is a real joy to see these beautiful and truly wild creatures so close. More joined us at 2;30 am for about an hour, just visible in the light from the boat. They stayed near the back of the boat this time - which is where Rob was sitting (!?).
We have made a slight change of plan and are going into La Rochelle rather than our original destination Royan. La R is apparently a yachting mecca (appropriate for Arabesque) and a nice town to boot! Just a bit further to drive to the party.
SS has found her sea legs and life at sea has taken a turn for the better. We now expect to arrive La R late this evening and will update tomorrow.
