Bluebirds in Dover

Spent 3 days in Dover from the 18th to the 20th September. Meant we could stock up with food and the Captain could deal with is weight problem. I.e. all the extra stuff we had stowed aboard but really had no need for, like 40,000 plastic containers and 300 bottles of factor 6 sun block.

We also waited for our fourth crew member Dan to join and for the tides and winds to be right to set sail once more.

On the 18th, Raph and Kiera did the ASDA rounds, it all felt slightly strange, as if they were back in Newport again. They then took Nigel’s snooze as an opportunity to walk up on the white cliffs for a bit.
Nigel fancied a curry that evening so we went to Cinnamon Island, a really fantastic and welcoming place in the town. Kiera drove them all crazy since when she wasn’t gulping down food she was singing along to all the classic hindi tracks they were playing in the restaurant.

The rest of the time was used to catch up on films and test the ships games. Battleships was an apt favourite even though Raph won EVERY time. Okay okay, so he won at Monopoly and the weird twisty game we played too. Happy now?
