Followed crew home on Friday  to be a surprise guest at my mother-in-laws 90th birthday party on  Saturday 13 June.  The party was wonderful and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.  Literally a flying visit to the UK though, as I flew back to the boat, with Allan, on Sunday morning!

A romantic week on our own, undertaking the trip from west to east Greece through the gulfs of Patras and Corinth.  Between the two gulfs there is the largest cable span bridge in the world.    En route we also visited the beautiful medieval harbour of Nafpaktos (Lepanto) and the archaelogical site of Delphi in its spectacular mountain setting.

This morning we travelled through the Corinth canal.  It is 3.2 miles long, 25 metres wide and 76 metres high at the highest point.  It was quite an experience.  Arrived in Athens this evening for Allan's son and family to join us tomorrow.
