We have now arrived in Sicily at last!  Weather stayed against us so we saw a lot of Carloforte before finally getting away after lunch on Tues 29 April.  Seas much more amenable and we were on a run in front of a westerley 4-5 for almost all of the way.  Had 4 dolphins for company which was great as we also had had  8 dolphins with us on previous trip.  Also saw three turtles!

Arrived at Isola Favignana, west of Sicily, at about 2.00am today (Thurs 30 April) and anchored in the dark trying to avoid tuna nets.  In the morning rudely awoken by blaring "Guardia Costiera" sirens...  Allan went to negotiate (in his red and blue stripped dressing gown!) and found we had parked where the large ferry needed to turn into the harbour.  We had to move rather sharpish .. harbour was a bit small and shallow so we left for Cabo San Vito.

Now moored up in Marina San Vito which is a spectacular mountainous spot.  Very sunny but cold wind blowing.  All looking pretty weather beaten.  Tomorrow John leaves us and we are to be joined by friends from Jersey - Peter and Vicky Warren.
